DaVinci MIQRO Vaporizer – Rust
The latest vaporizer in the DaVinci range has arrived. We are all acquainted with the DaVinci IQ – after all it is one of the best dry herb vaporizers that is on the market, well now meet the Davinci MIQRO its new sibling. Everything that you loved about the DaVinci IQ is now available in a mini version. That’s right – DaVinci have gone ahead and shrunk their own fantastic product and made it even smaller and more discreet – a bonus for those that want a smaller product to carry with them.
Of course, that’s what DaVinci themselves tell us but we don’t want to just take their word for it. So, if you have been wondering if the smaller size of the MIQRO in any compromises the functionality of this vaporizer in any way, and just how it does compare, then read on. Here, we tell you all that you need to know about the DaVinci MIQRO vaporizer.
They say small is beautiful and the DaVinci MIQRO is a rather elegant and incredibly compact unit. It measures in at around 8cm tall and 3.5cm wide with a depth of just 2cm, making it the perfect fit for the palm of your hand and very discreet for using when you are out and about. It is a staggering 40% lighter than its big brother the DaVinci IQ, tipping the scales at just 100 grams.
The MIQRO is charged by USB and powered by two replaceable 18350 batteries, making it an incredibly easy vaporizer to charge whilst on the go. The only downside is that in order to be charged the batteries do need to be inside the unit rather than charging them individually. However, the full charge time is only 90 minutes and MIQRO users can take advantage of pass-through charging (you can still use it whilst it is charging). The batteries may only be small, but they last a rather impressive 50 minutes when fully charged, which is particularly good when you look at the battery stats for other units.
Taking around 45 seconds to heat up, the MIQRO is on a par with similar vapes on the market. For a conduction unit it provides a great tasting vapour, and this is down to the high-quality materials that have been used to produce it. Ceramic zirconium has been used to manufacture the bowl, vapour path, air path and mouth piece so you are you provided with a cool, pure vapour. Of course, this use of ceramic zirconium also means that the MIQRO is rather easy to clean. All you need to do is empty and then brush down all the solid parts. Every 10 – 15 uses you should find that there is a stronger draw resistance. If so, simply remove the vapor path and clean with isopropyl alcohol.
Remember thought that because the MIQRO is a conduction vaporizer you should only use loose leaves with it. The MIQRO has a good-sized oven, considering its overall size, with a capacity of 0.25 grams of dry herb, that if it is tightly packed. This can be reduced to 0.15 grams with the use of the adjustable pearl screw, meaning you can maximise your experience whilst using less herb.
Its also important to mention the attached lids at this point they really help to pack your loose herbs, giving you optimal heating.
Smart Path technology
The MIQRO is fitted with the DaVinci vaporizers signature Smart Paths feature. All you need to do is choose a 10-minute session during which time the MIQRO will slowly increase the temperature at intervals of 20°F/12°C. There are 4 Smart Paths pre-set into the MIQRO:
- Smart Path 1 (350° F / 176°C - 370°F / 187°C)
- Smart Path 2 (370°F/187°C - 390°F/199°C)
- Smart Path 3 (390° F / 199°C - 410°F/ 210°C)
- Smart Path 4 (410°F/210°C - 430°F/222°C)
So, whether you want a quick session with friends or alone the Smart Path feature offers a session that is perfectly timed.
